Ballard finished third at the Kuemper Catholic Invitational two days earlier, but they turned up the dial at the conference meet to beat out Carroll by nine strokes for the win. The Bombers shot a 310 as a team over 18 holes to top the Tigers while Adel-Desoto-Minburn was third out of nine competing teams with a score of 331.
Four Bomber golfers earned all-conference honors by placing in the top 10. Matt Greenfield and Taylor Eichinger tied for the lowest score at the meet with a 76, and Greenfield won a playoff to earn medalist honors.
Devin Leland tied for third with a 78 and Andy Fraser tied for eighth with an 80 as Ballard's other all-conference performers. Nate Pietz and Brett Shaeffer carded an 87 and 96 respectively to round things out for Ballard.

CARROLL - Ballard took third at the Kuemper Catholic Invitational Saturday in Carroll.
The Bombers shot a 310 over 18 holes to finish four strokes behind Spencer's winning score of 306 and just one stroke behind Kuemper Catholic's runner-up score in the 14-team tournament. Ballard had three golfers place in the top 10 and five shot under 80 during the tournament.
Matt Greenfield carded a 75 to place fifth for Ballard and Devin Leland was eighth with a 77. Andy Fraser came in 10th with a 79, while Nate Pietz and Taylor Eichinger also shot a 79 for the Bombers and Brett Shaeffer finished with an 86.

GRIMES - Ballard rolled to an easy victory over Dallas Center-Grimes in nine holes May 7 at Grimes.
The Bombers shot an outstanding score of 143, putting them one-under-par as a team, to convincingly outdistance DCG's score of 161. The Bombers had three golfers shoot a par or better on the day and six individuals finished under 40.
Matt Greenfield led the way with a 34, putting him two-under-par, while Devin Leland finished one-under-par with a 35. Andy Fraser ended up even par with a 36, while Taylor Eichinger and Nate Pietz tied for the fourth scoring spot with identical rounds of 38.

HUXLEY - Ballard had no trouble picking up a triangular victory over Perry and Saydel May 5 at the Ballard Golf and Country Club in Huxley.
The Bombers had all four of their scored golfers shoot under a 40 over nine holes, finishing with a low team score of 148. Perry was well behind Ballard in second place with 163 while Saydel shot a 200.
Devin Leland continued his hot play over the past couple of weeks by earning medalist honors. Leland finished with a two-under-par score of 34, an effort that put him four strokes ahead of his nearest competitor.
Matt Greenfield, Andy Fraser and Taylor Eichinger each carded a 38 as the other scored golfers for Ballard. Clinton Eichinger paced the Ballard junior varsity squad with a 40, while Nate Pietz added a 41.
