The Pharmacists Mutual PHMIC Pacers team held a Halloween Carnival on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 1 p.m. Cold temperatures and an unexpected snowfall moved the event from Veteran's Park to First Congregational United church Of Christ's Fellowship Hall. Children were able to participate in carnival games including bean bag toss, basketball throw, dinosaur dig, duck pond, pumpkin ring toss, balloon pop, balloon animals, fishing, football throw, face painting, miniature golf, coloring contests and Halloween contests.
It was also a time for kids to wear their Halloween costumes for the year. Princesses, ninjas, Transformers, clone troopers, pirates, Yoda, and even a few Dark Knights were among the costumes worn by attendees.
Proceeds from the carnival went toward the 2010 Relay for Life to be held June 11, 2010. For more information on how you can participate in Relay for Life, contact Kay Kinseth at 515-295-7068 or Sara Curtis at 515-295-2657.
