The Union Pacific will begin improvements to the 13th Street railroad crossing on Monday, Sept. 8, which will require the crossing to be closed for nearly one week. No vehicles, bicyclists or pedestrians will be allowed to cross the tracks while repairs are being made. The crossing should reopen by Saturday, Sept. 13.
Union Pacific is fixing the rock base and installing pre-cast concrete at the railroad crossing to provide a smoother surface. The 13th Street repairs are the final railroad crossing improvement project.
