Jan. 9: Thomas Ransom reported harassment at 314 S. Fourth St. He received a threat made by his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend.
Jan. 9: Cub Foods, 3121 Grand Ave., reported an adult male shoplifter in custody.
Jan. 9: A caller reported an assault at Cub Foods, 3121 Grand Ave., that occurred Monday evening.
Jan. 9: Mary Oelmann reported a case of identity theft. Someone had reportedly been using her bank account.
Jan. 9: An assault was reported at the Kwik Shop, 705 24th St. The suspect was no longer present. A report was taken.
Jan. 9: Courtney Imron reported a deer had been struck on Hyland Avenue north of Pammel Drive.
Boone County Sheriff's Office
Jan. 8: A sergeant investigated a single-vehicle accident 2 1/2 miles east of Luther on 270th Street. Alice G. Wisecup, 57, of Luther, was eastbound when she lost control on the frost and rolled her vehicle into the north ditch. Wisecup and her passenger, Delores Rondinelli, 74, of Cincinnati, Ohio, were injured. They both were taken by private vehicle to Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Damages were estimated at $2,000 to a 1994 Infiniti.
Jan. 8: The Communications Center received numerous calls of horses running loose on Quill Avenue. The horses were finally rounded up after the owner, Karen Proksch, of rural Boone, was located. The horses were caught by the owner near Orscheln's in Boone.
